Narrowing things down a bit
octubre 11, 2017
Being an undergrad is fun, especially when you're getting a bachelor's degree because there are just so many opportunities... perhaps ways too many. I've been thinking about this because I've had great courses lately and a lot of new topics have interested me. Likewise, since there is a wide range of follow-up opportunities after this program is over, I've been feeling a bit overwhelmed by all the possibilities and directions I could later take.
I do realize it's ridiculous, to a certain extent, to feel constricted by too many possibilities, but consider it like this: you have to start building a portfolio, of sorts, that shows a sense of direction. This can be evidenced in your extracurriculars, your personal projects, your OPRs, OFGs, teacher choices, etc. So I have made a list of my main areas of interest and things I'd like to do, as well as some that do not sound very appealing, so I can make good choices considering what I really love doing rather than how tempting the offer might seem (believe, it's tougher than you'd think, especially when too many things excite you and pull your interest!)
